About Us

My name is Spenser Hardin and I've loved collies as long as I can remember. My parents showed rough collies for a short time in the 80s before having 'human' children of their own. I grew up with collies and have always felt that they made a wonderful addition to a family as they are great with children - nurturing, loyal, and gentle.


As a young adult, I purchased my own collie puppy. I fell in love with showing collies and the idea of becoming a caretaker of the breed. I am a small-time breeder who is very intentional about my litters. Breeding according to the standard, temperament, structure, and health. View the official Collie Standard.


Longview Collies is located south of Des Moines, Iowa. Member of Collie Club of America and Central Iowa Collie Club
